THE VENICECARD PROJECT

The VENICEcard project came into being thanks to the collaboration between the Municipality of Venice and the main service providers of the city. Alata has taken part in devising and implementing the VENICEcard project due to a synergy of aims and became part of the capital stock of Venice Cards S.p.A., right from the start. It has monitored the start-up, designing and managing phases of the web site and of the tele-booking services.

The principal aim of the project is to design, produce and develop a tourist card which groups together the main services available to visitors in the city of Venice, thus facilitating their use.
The Venice card scheme is one of the ventures promoted by the Municipality of Venice which contributes to organizing the flow of tourists and to destination management policies. This aim, also shared by Alata, is essential for a more effective management of the city services offered to the millions of tourists who visit Venice each year.
